  5. The Cross Cast Nominal Ledger has a multiple account structure allowing
  6. expansion up to four levels with up to 13 user-defined, dated periods per year.
  7. The ledger may remain open beyond period ends (including year-end) whilst
  8. accepting transactions for future periods and allows posting from external
  9. sources, e.g. sales and purchase ledger, POP, SOP, job costing etc. It provides
  10. for budgets and prior-year comparatives and handles reversing journals and
  11. automatic posting of accruals for accounts which receive static debt or credit
  12. amounts. External postings can be analysed over 18 nominal codes per
  13. transaction, while appropriate validation of posting "rules" can be defined.
  14. Reports are available to detail all aspects - trial balance, profit and loss,
  15. balance sheet, supporting schedules etc. The Cross Cast Ledger has been awarded
  16. the NCC certificate of evaluation and is one of a range of integrated
  17. accounting modules written by Systemics Ltd.
